Job summary

Rutgers University offers part-time instructor positions for non-credit programs through Rutgers Business School. Instructors will teach a range of topics including accounting, finance, economics, real estate, marketing, management, and operations, among others.

Successful candidates will assign and co-instruct courses, prepare materials, and provide feedback to participants. Positions may be grant funded, with in-person, hybrid, or online delivery across Newark and New Brunswick campuses.

Qualifications

• Requires an advanced degree and at least one year of instructional/presentational experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• The degree requirement may be waived if a candidate is considered a subject matter expert.
• A doctoral degree is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Instructing/Co‑instructing for non-credit courses and workshops
• Preparing course materials (e.g., syllabi, presentation, reading materials, documents, etc.)
• Provide constructive feedback and advisement to participants
• Practice innovative educational methodology and pedagogy
• Generating necessary final reports for program directors
