Qualifications

• RN requirements include BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if RN has an ADN, BSN must be completed within 5 years of start date.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA).
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or active multi-state license).

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments and interprets data.
• Forms individualized care plans based on assessments and population trends.
• Delivers care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides counseling as a resource to resolve issues.
• Coordinates care and transitions planning with multidisciplinary teams.
• Documents all patient care activities per standards and assists with documentation.
• Evaluates outcomes and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains clinical competency through continuing education.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
