Job summary

Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Adult Behavioral Unit. This part-time role involves inpatient care for adults with acute or chronic mental health disorders, with a 12-hour night shift.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, and collaborative care plan development with a multidisciplinary team. Minimum qualifications include an accredited nursing degree and CT RN license; a Bachelor''s degree and MH experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• Bachelor''s degree in Nursing (preferred)
• One or more years of mental health, substance use treatment, or behavioral health inpatient experience (preferred)
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and mental health, including withdrawal symptoms and psychiatric stability.
• Administer medications as prescribed, monitor for side effects, and educate patients on med management.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing school

Valid RN license in Connecticut

Bachelor's degree in Nursing
