Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Driver in Smyrna, TN for a part-time role. You will monitor and patrol healthcare locations, provide exceptional customer service, and deter incidents while maintaining a visible security presence.

The position requires at least 2 years of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a hospital environment. Vaccination requirements and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Complete required activity reports and maintain accurate documentation of incidents, observations, and interactions in accordance with site procedures.
