Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (Part Time, Night Shift) to join a fast-paced ED team in Georgia. The role supports physicians and registered nurses, performing vital signs, EKGs, blood glucose testing, wound care, and patient transport with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The ED Tech Level I assists with rapid patient assessment, monitors cardiac rhythms, and ensures equipment and supply readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care and monitor vital signs.
• Perform 12-lead EKG and notify ED physician.
• Conduct bedside blood glucose testing and assist with procedures.
• Transport patients and equipment safely within the department.
• Observe and document patient status and respond to alarms or escalations.
• Maintain aseptic technique and assist with basic wound care.
