Job summary

East Georgia Regional Medical Center is seeking an ER Technician to support the Emergency Department by assisting with patient care under licensed staff supervision. You will help maintain an organized, well-stocked unit and communicate effectively with the care team.

Responsibilities include direct patient care such as splinting, IV starts, ECGs, and vital sign monitoring, as well as EMR documentation, patient transport, infection control, and coordination with ancillary services.

Qualifications

• Technical School completion of Nursing Assistant, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant courses required
• 0-1 years of clinical experience required
• CNA or EMT preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including splinting, IV insertion, EKGs, and vitals under supervision.
• Assists with patient transport to/from units and discharge areas.
• Maintains clean, stocked environment and follows infection control standards.
• Documents care in EMR and communicates changes to the care team.
• Responds to emergencies and supports safety and team operations.
• Performs clerical tasks and coordinates with ancillary services.
