Job summary

Health First's Viera Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a part-time night shift. The CNA provides direct care under RN supervision, supports the care team, and helps ensure a safe, clean environment and timely information flow to patients and families.

Applicants must complete a CNA program, obtain Florida licensure, hold AHA BLS, and demonstrate English proficiency with competent EMR use. Prior healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Certified Nursing Assistant Course and scheduled to take the Florida State exam.
• Florida CNA licensure or eligible for licensure within 120 days.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification before start date.
• English language proficiency and ability to use EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Delivers basic patient care in a clean and safe environment, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Communicates effectively with health care team and families to promote teamwork.
• Accesses IV solutions and supplies as needed for patient care responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment; uses and cares for equipment and supplies economically.
• Collects, records, and reports accurate patient information.
• Competently performs routine procedures and supports others to maintain productivity.
• Provides service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for their needs and differences.
• Contributes to patient experience through hourly rounding and bedside shift reports.
• Demonstrates and supports positive financial performance of the unit.
