KDVR/KWGN Colorado's Very Own Channel 2 is seeking a part-time News Reporter to join our team to deliver breaking news and original content across our connected TV app, website, social platforms and television.

The ideal candidate will have strong on-air presence, the ability to write, shoot, and edit stories, and to produce digital elements for our platforms. Flexibility, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of experience in news producing and reporting.
• Knowledge of social storytelling techniques.
• Proficiency in editing with Adobe Premiere.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• College degree required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Link to an online reel of prior work samples must be included.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Produce and anchor breaking news, active weather and live event coverage using video, graphics sound and guest interviews.
• Identify livestream opportunities.
• Create original daily reports for KDVR.com, social media and streaming platforms.
• Strong on-air presence.
• Deliver news stories in a clear and concise manner.
• Shoot, write and edit news reports.
• Respond to breaking news as required.
