Responsibilities

• Ensure every baby is screened according to state requirements and IHSS guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and accurate records.
• Follow strict patient identification and result labeling procedures.
• Operate newborn hearing screening equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
• Record results in patient charts and maintain logs as required.
• Coordinate with Area Manager on supply needs and scheduling.
• Perform duties while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff to coordinate testing.
• Attend meetings pertaining to the Newborn Hearing Screening Program as directed.
• Be available to work weekends and holidays as required.
