Job summary

Infant-Hearing-Screening-Specialists is seeking a part-time Newborn Hearing Screener to conduct infant hearing screens at the assigned hospital. You will follow IHSS and hospital policies, maintain records, and ensure accurate labeling of results in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, patient identification, and timely reporting of concerns. Availability on weekends/holidays is required and compliance with infection control and HIPAA is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and hospital personnel.
• Basic math and accurate record-keeping skills.
• Wamiliarity with HIPAA and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns according to state, NHSP, and IHSS guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and logs.
• Identify patients correctly and label results accurately.
• Operate newborn hearing screening equipment per IHSS guidelines.
• Record results in patient charts and update records.
• Attend program meetings as directed by IHSS.
• Follow HIPAA, safety, and infection control protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the program.
