Job summary

College Living Experience (CLE) in Austin, TX, is seeking an Academic Coach to support neurodiverse young adults in college success. This role focuses on executive functioning, organization, study habits, self-advocacy, and independent learning.

You will work one-on-one with students, tailor approaches to different learning styles, teach strategies, and collaborate with campus teams to provide holistic support. Part-time, in-person position with roughly 15 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, counseling, or a related field.
• Teaching/tutoring experience (1+ year preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to tailor instruction to individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic coaching and tutoring based on each student's learning style, strengths, and goals.
• Review syllabi, assignments, grades, and course requirements to help students create realistic plans.
• Teach and reinforce executive functioning skills, including organization, time management, prioritization, and study strategies.
• Help students prepare for exams, complete projects, and develop effective note-taking techniques.
• Support students in communicating with professors and campus staff when appropriate.
• Foster self-advocacy and independent learning skills.
