Job summary

The Division of Continuing Education at University of California, Irvine is seeking qualified applicants for part-time, instructor positions in Networks and Protocol. These are course-by-course contracted roles, not faculty positions, with in-person teaching in the Technology Programs.

Requirements include a Master's degree in CS/CE/IT or related field (or equivalent industry experience/certifications such as CCNA/CCNP), and a strong background in networking fundamentals, protocol analysis

Qualifications

Master's degree in CS/CE/IT or related field (or equivalent industry experience/certifications such as CCNA/CCNP).
Strong background in computer networking fundamentals, protocol analysis (Wireshark), network simulation (Cisco Packet Tracer), and routing/switching configurations.
Ability to bridge theoretical concepts with practical lab applications for adult learners with varying levels of experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver course materials and learning assessments in-person.
Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System as the course support platform.
Communicate teaching objectives and outcomes to students and outline grading policies.
Evaluate student achievement and assign grades.
Post final grades to the transcript system by deadlines.
Respond to student questions and learning needs in a timely manner.
Stay current regarding professional knowledge and participate in required orientations and training.
