Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, Express, SQL (PostgreSQL), RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and front-end component frameworks (Vue.js).
• Tools & Environment: Familiarity with Git, command-line interfaces, testing frameworks, and modern IDEs (VS Code, WebStorm).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course materials and learning assessments in-person.
• Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System as the course support platform.
• Communicate teaching objectives and learning outcomes to students and outline grading policies.
• Evaluate student achievement and assign grades.
• Post final grades to the transcript system by deadlines.
• Respond to student questions and learning needs promptly.
• Stay current in the field and complete required training for UC Irvine.
• Complete hiring paperwork and course-related admin tasks on time.
