Job summary

Cape Fear Community College seeks a qualified Cosmetology/Nail Technician teacher to provide classroom and laboratory instruction, develop lesson plans, and prepare assessments. The role includes supervising student practice, maintaining records, and aligning with CFCC policies.

Classes are conducted 4 nights per week at the North Campus; unofficial transcripts and training certificates must be uploaded with the application. High school diploma and licenses required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current and valid Cosmetology Teacher’s License or Nail Technician Teacher’s License.
• Minimum two years of nail technician experience.
• Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and laboratory instruction to students.
• Prepare lesson plans and schedule classroom activities.
• Develop and prepare supplement materials to enhance textbook lessons.
• Develop and prepare tests to evaluate student performance; grade records.
• Provide classroom demonstrations on equipment; develop lab assignments for hands-on learning.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of performance and required paperwork.
