Job summary

SUNY Niagara invites applications for a Part Time NADSP Human Services Instructor on the Sanborn campus in NY. The instructor will co-teach Direct Support Professional courses (Level I & II) and oversee preparation and internship components for NADSP certifications.

Strong communication, diverse student engagement, and ability to adapt teaching to ADA provisions are essential. Attendance at in-person meetings and professional development is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience teaching adults in a higher education setting is desirable.
• Comfort with classroom technologies and training delivery.

Responsibilities

• Co-teach courses in formats including on campus, hybrid, blended, or online.
• Hold office hours in person or virtually.
• Report on student learning outcomes and final grades each semester.

Education

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, rehabilitative services, health care, psychology, or a related field

5 years experience in Direct Support with a bachelor’s degree in a helping/health care field

Prior teaching experience at the college level

Experience with classroom technologies

Conducted employee training within your agency
