Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a compassionate Music Therapist to provide therapeutic music interventions aligned with each patient’s plan of care. You will assess patient needs, implement musical strategies, and document outcomes to support comfort and well-being.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in music therapy and a relevant certification; background checks and drug testing are required. Remote work is not indicated; join an interdisciplinary team focusing on quality end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy.
• Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BT) or National Music Therapy Registry or AMTA certification, or other national certifying body.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test.
• Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness.
• Implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort.
• Use techniques such as relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review; document sessions promptly.
• Educate team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement.
