Job summary

St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center, part of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, invites an experienced RN to join the Critical Care Float Pool. You will float across MICU, SICU, and CTICU, delivering high-quality patient care in fast-paced environments.

Requirements include NY RN license and BSN preferred; BLS/ACLS; 2 years acute care experience preferred; orientation is a full two weeks Mon-Fri. Excellent benefits are offered by Catholic Health.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS and ACLS per American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to critically ill and high_acuity patients in CCU.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor conditions, interpret vital signs and diagnostics, and respond to changes.
• Administer medications and treatments per hospital policy and evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate a patient-focused team to provide direct and collaborative care across units.
• Apply nursing process with sensitivity to cultural and religious diversity.
