Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a part-time Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician to support the Chemistry section on dayshift at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. The role involves performing and analyzing clinical laboratory tests, QC, instrument maintenance, and coordination with nursing and medical staff.

Candidates should hold a BS in Medical Technology or a chemical/biological science, with WV HCTP or trainee licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science or Medical Technology.
• HCTP licensure or Trainee License required by WV DHHR.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Technologist in clinical labs.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze samples accurately and promptly.
• Set up, run, and maintain laboratory instruments per policy.
• Perform quality control and infection control procedures.
