Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist for a part-time position (24 hours per week). The role focuses on operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images, with patient-centered care and adherence to safety standards.

Must be able to explain procedures and position patients, and maintain accurate records. Essential duties include performing routine and advanced MRI procedures, maintaining equipment, and supporting the MRI department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA approved radiography program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registration in good standing.
• State licensure as Radiologic Technologist if applicable.
• CPR certification current.
• Ability to perform MRI procedures independently.
• Imaging specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images.
• Explain procedures and position patients for MRI scans.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust MRI parameters as needed and follow physician orders.
• Maintain accurate patient records in RIS.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and sanitized.
• Maintain equipment and comply with accreditation requirements.
• Support MRI department functions and participate in training new staff.

Education

High School diploma, or equivalent

AMA approved school of radiography

ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist

Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Certification in imaging specialty
