The University of Miami MRI Technologist – Level III (Part-Time) is responsible for performing complex MRI procedures and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. This role includes independent judgment, supervision duties, and collaboration with radiologists and PhDs to develop new MRI protocols.

The position involves coordinating scheduling, patient flow, on-site training of staff, and participation in research initiatives within the radiology department.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology /Diagnostic Imaging Program.
• ARRT registered with ARRT certification in primary modality.
• State of Florida License as a General Radiographer preferred.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience required.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate/manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
• Supervises as well as performs diagnostic imaging studies under the direction/supervision of a radiologist.
• Assist radiologists and PhD’s in developing new protocols and MRI imaging techniques that are unique to facility.
• Participate in research initiatives and development of research protocols.
• Monitor charging of MRI procedures and supplies daily to ensure correctness.
• Demonstrate MRI equipment for ‘site visits’ for visiting physicians and administrators.
• Provide in-service classes in section.
• Schedule patients for procedures; assist with clerical functions.
• Provide assistance with orientation and training of new MRI technologists.
• Obtains and examines the order for a MRI scan to be aware of information such as procedures requested, patient’s condition and any other special notes or comments.
