Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with grieving families with sensitivity.
• Physical ability to lift/move items up to 100 pounds independently, and heavier loads with assistance as needed.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Respond to transfer calls on on-call basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Transport decedents from homes, hospitals, or other locations to the funeral home with professionalism.
• Maintain dignity and respect for the decedent and family during transfers.
• Complete and maintain transfer documentation and chain-of-custody records.
• Maintain cleanliness of removal vehicles and equipment.
• Communicate clearly with family members and facility staff during removal.
• Follow safety protocols and proper PPE usage.
