Job summary

Lap of Love is seeking a Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian to serve San Mateo, CA and surrounding communities. In this role you’ll provide hospice and euthanasia care in clients’ homes, with flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules and a focus on work-life balance.

You will be part of a nationwide network of veterinarians, receive ongoing mentorship, and access a comprehensive onboarding process. A DVM and a valid U.S. driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) is required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets in client homes.
• Travel to client homes within the San Mateo area and surrounding regions.
• Maintain compassionate communication with families during end-of-life care.
