Job summary

Allied Universal, Portage, MI, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Mobile Patrol Driver duties in a healthcare setting. You will provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors while patrolling, monitoring access points, and maintaining incident documentation.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed) as applicable, a high school diploma, and successful background/drug screening per policy.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors while following site procedures.
• Ability to respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting/escalation procedures.
• Perform regular/unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observations, incidents, and shifts in operating conditions.
