Job summary

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is seeking a part-time Adjunct Professor of Medical Laboratory Technology to teach courses in Clinical Microbiology, Hematology and Clinical Chemistry as needed. Courses may be offered face-to-face and/or online.

Adjunct faculty are appointed on a course-by-course basis with opportunities for remote instruction. PVCC serves Central Virginia and collaborates with local employers and the University of Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Microbiology.
• Two years’ work experience in the medical/clinical laboratory.
• Master’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Education (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach developmental and/or college-level courses, which may include distance-learning courses.
• Primarily face-to-face instruction with the possibility of remote instruction.
• Contribute to program development and student assessment.
