Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine and complex testing, phlebotomy, and accessioning under supervision.

This role supports the laboratory supervisor with technical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will operate instruments, maintain quality control, document results, protect patient confidentiality, and communicate with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Medical Technology, or bachelor’s with clinical training (required).
• Alternate route requirements to be certified by ASCP, NCA, or AMT.
• ASCP, ASCPI, NCA, or AMT MT/MLS/IMLS registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests with adherence to quality standards.
• Operate instruments, conduct QC, and document results accurately.
• Perform phlebotomy and accessioning as needed and assist the supervisor.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate with medical staff.
