Responsibilities

• Provide quality venipuncture or capillary service for patients of all ages with lab orders by a physician, while practicing universal precautions.
• Accurate data entry of patient demographic information and assays ordered into computer applications; maintain lab documents including faxed results.
• Proper processing and handling of specimens according to MUSCP/MUSCP-PC guidelines; document remedial actions and communicate information as appropriate.
• Maintain medical supplies in accordance with cost effective parameters and perform job tasks.
• Decontaminate assigned areas and document information.
• Attend in services, meetings, and continue education as requested.
