Job summary

UPMC McKeesport is hiring a part-time Milieu Therapist to join our behavioral health team. The role involves working various shifts, including day, evening, and overnight, with weekend/holiday responsibilities.

As a Milieu Therapist I, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic activities and support to patients and families in a dynamic hospital environment. Training and professional growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in behavioral health settings preferred.
• Ability to facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic activities.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply current patient care practices and technology.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic activity groups.
• Encourage patients in activities of daily living and accompany them to appointments.
• Document in the Medical Record per policy and maintain a safe environment.
• Coordinate patient groups and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
