Job summary

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Biologist for a prominent client in Trumbull, CT. The role is a part-time, 32-hour week contract with potential extension or conversion after one year.

Responsibilities include performing standard microbiological testing (preservative effectiveness, microbial limits, time kill kinetic studies and in vivo testing) and supporting daily lab activities. The candidate will prepare media, operate an autoclave, and report results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience with microbiology testing, such as gram staining, bacterial identification, or Environmental Monitoring testing is required.
• Experience with MS Office is required.
• Experience using an autoclave is preferred.
• Experience with media prep is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard microbiological testing, including preservative effectiveness, microbial limits, time kill kinetic studies, and in vivo testing, while supporting the North America Henkel Consumer Brands business.
• Prepare large amounts of microbiological media, operate an autoclave, handle live microorganisms according to standard procedures, perform basic microbiological testing, wash dishes, and report results.
• Work independently after training, follow laboratory procedures, and support daily microbiology laboratory activities.
