TridentCare is seeking a Microbiology Lab Assistant to support daily operations in a busy clinical lab. The role focuses on instrument maintenance, automated systems like BD Kiestra InoculA, Bactec FX, Cepheid and Verigene, and ensuring accurate specimen handling and data recording.

High School Graduate or equivalent with minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with others.
Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with a team.
Must demonstrate speed, consistency, and accuracy meeting lab standards.
Flexible, able to perform changing tasks and concentrate on assignments.
Documented training ensuring proficiency in specimen collection and instrument maintenance.

Responsibilities

Maintain daily/weekly instrument records and perform routine maintenance.
Operate BD Kiestra InoculA automation, Bactec FX, Cepheid, Verigene systems.
Back up data and manage printer paper/ribbon in lab equipment.
Maintain inventory of media, reagents, and supplies; coordinate weekly media orders.
Train new or less experienced personnel; answer calls and review pending reports.
Assist CLS in operating automated instruments and troubleshoot test entries.
