Job summary

Delta College is seeking a Lab Coordinator for the Science & Mathematics Division. The role supports maintaining a safe and organized laboratory and classroom environment, assisting coordinators, and ensuring a quality learning space for students.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, handling lab materials, greenhouse upkeep, and coordinating with instructors. The position requires background checks, and there is a 10-hour-per-week schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable, motivated and a self-starter.
• Ability to do basic algebra on occasion.
• Must be registered in a minimum of six credit hours (12 hours for international students).
• Work Study preferred, but not required.
• This position requires a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist laboratory coordinators to maintain a safe and clean environment in the laboratory and classroom areas.
• Perform general housekeeping duties; gather, move, organize, and/or dispense lab materials.
• Perform general plant upkeep in the greenhouse and cleaning/organizing classrooms and stockrooms.
• Interact with instructors as needed to maintain a quality learning environment for all students.
• PPE may be worn on various occasions and job and safety training will be provided.
