Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in microbiology, biochemistry, or a biological science field.
• Medical, dental, or medical science credentials may substitute.
• A master's degree plus 18 graduate credits in microbiology or related field is acceptable.

• Demonstrate mastery of their discipline and support student success.
• Use engaging teaching methods and technology across modalities of instruction.
• Address diverse learner needs with responsive pedagogy.
• Willingness to examine and adapt instructional, relational, and classroom practices to better engage students.
• Engage in course preparation, review of outlines, and syllabi preparation.
• Provide prompt and constructive feedback to students through office hours and assessments.
• Respond to student emails in a timely manner.
• Adhere to deadlines for grade processing, enrollment verification, syllabus submission, and textbook adoption.
• Participate in service to the college and community.
