Job Overview

The Merchandiser is responsible for presenting products attractively at retail locations. This includes servicing multiple accounts by merchandising approved products, following safety and quality guidelines, and communicating effectively with store management and cross-functional teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on display and shelves according to procedures and programs
• Physically move products from backroom to display
• Create and place point of sale materials, rotate products, and check vendor operations
• Organize backroom stock and manage returns of empty or damaged products
• Build and maintain relationships with store personnel, discussing requests, pricing, and upcoming activities

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Effective communication skills (listening, speaking, writing)
• Preferred customer service experience in retail
• Excellent interpersonal skills to satisfy diverse customer needs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly)
• Reliable and independent work ethic
• Critical thinking skills
• Company-provided cell phone

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid in-state driver’s license
• Excellent driving record
• Proof of insurance meeting specified coverage requirements
