As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you play a vital role in helping people celebrate holidays and special moments by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place. We are looking for merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, showcasing organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory of our celebration products, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Pay:

• The starting pay is $16.70 per hour, with two increases during the first year of employment (subject to change based on location).
• After 6 months, the pay increases to $17.60.
• After 1 year, the pay increases to $18.50.
• We offer flexible scheduling, paid training, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Route and Schedule:

This route services retail locations at:

• 475 West Main Street, Brawley, CA 92227
• 223 E Main St, Westmorland, CA
• 2110 Service Rd, Salton City, CA
• 872 Palm Canyon Dr, Borrego Springs, CA

The weekly average hours are 2, which may increase to 4 hours during holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service stores on your route, including merchandising, organizing product orders, displaying products, maintaining backroom areas, and inventory tasks.
• Communicate with management regarding service or schedule concerns.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
• Build relationships with retail store associates and management during business hours.
• Be available for additional days and extended hours around major holidays.
• Assist with store resets, fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as needed.
• Plan weekly service schedules using a company-issued tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Experience Required:

No experience necessary; training provided.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without accommodations.
• Reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
• Reliable internet access for communication and updates.
• Technological competency to use a company-provided tablet.
• Availability for occasional weekends and days around major holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).

Physical Demands:

Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons and fixtures up to 40 pounds, and stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the day. Use of a stepstool may be required. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
