Chamberlain University invites applications for a Mental Health Didactic Visiting Professor on a part-time basis. Courses meet once or twice weekly for eight weeks, blending face-to-face interaction with online discussions and assignments to enrich the learning experience.

The position operates on a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday. Availability includes Mondays and Wednesdays for the eight-week period.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• Previous teaching experience in course subject is required.
• Excellent communication skills with high initiative and prudent judgment.
• Have genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides students with an approved Covista syllabus following campus templates.
• Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
• Uses online technologies and course-related software to prepare and deliver content.
• Models effective oral and written communication to engage students and enhance learning.
• Sets clear course expectations, dates, and evaluation weightings.
• Ensures exams reflect course objectives and provides timely feedback.
• Completes other duties as assigned and complies with policies.
