Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mental Health Counselor.

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) works with the study physicians and psychologists to conduct medication administration sessions as per the research study protocol. The LMHC prepares the study participants for the experimental medication administration by providing therapeutic support including preparation prior to medication sessions, support during medication sessions, and integration after medication sessions. The LMHC will be in direct communication with the PI and Research Project Manager regarding participant status.

Job Responsibilities:

Protocol Compliance: Ensure that research therapy sessions are carried out in accordance with the protocol, HIPAA and GCP, including but not limited to participant research visits, follow-up, and required documentation. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of study rationale, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and procedures associated with the study.
Problem Resolution: Identify, respond to, and participate in the resolution of potential and actual problems in study therapy activities and participant activities.
Professional Development: Maintain/enhance professional growth and development through participation in seminars, professional affiliations and internal training sessions to keep abreast of trends in the field of clinical research, addiction and project management.
Research Visits: Conduct participant manualized therapy, completion of assessments, and required participant documentation. Maintain patient confidentiality.
Team Coordination: Schedule study visits, coordinate and communicate with team using collaborative group calendar. Attend regularly scheduled research study meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Mental Health Counseling Registered License
Master's degree, preferably a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and 5-7 years of related public health experience.
Skilled at communicating with study participants and understanding the problems unique to this study population. Ability to work with participants of all age groups and all types and provide them with help.Effective planning skills and ability to maintain a healthy relationship with the participants and gain their confidence and trust.In-depth knowledge of all the procedures followed in the treatment..

Required Licenses: Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Certification is preferred (required in some disciplines).Knowledge of basic medical terminology is preferred. Experience working in an Academic Medical Center Preferred
Interest in and experience in clinical research, especially translational research, is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of all the procedures followed in the treatment.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
