Job summary

Alvernia University is seeking an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach (Part-Time) to support the intercollegiate athletics program and student-athlete development on campus in Reading, PA. This role assists in recruiting, compliance, and day-to-day coaching duties under the head coach and athletic leadership.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, coaching or playing experience, CPR certification, and the ability to work nights and weekends, with a focus on maintaining NCAA DIII compliance and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Prior coaching and/or playing experience (preferably at the collegiate level).
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules.
• CPR Certification required.
• Commitment to the mission, core values, and goals of Alvernia University.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Direct and organize all aspects of an assistant coach as indicated in the Alvernia University Coaches Manual.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
• Represent and/or carry out duties of the head coach in their absence.
• Maintain an active understanding of NCAA and MAC rules and report any violations.
• Pass the NCAA Division III Recruiting Test.
• Promote Franciscan ideals and adherence to the Mission of the University.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
• Contribute to the overall success of the intercollegiate athletics program by performing other duties as assigned.
