Responsibilities

• Provide skilled interventions under the direction of the PT.
• Address gait, balance, transfers, strength, endurance, and functional mobility.
• Practice mobility in the environments where residents actually live.
• Incorporate real-world routines and meaningful activities into treatment.
• Use appropriate cueing and repetition to support carryover.
• Identify environmental barriers that affect mobility and safety.
• Partner with caregivers and community staff.
• Help residents maintain mobility, participation, and independence.
• Build relationships with residents and learn the person behind the diagnosis.
