Job summary

Avamere Communities in Portland, OR is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support memory care residents. You will assist the Life Enrichment Director in planning and implementing engaging activities, programs, and events to promote well-being and social interaction in independent living, assisted living, and memory care settings.

This part-time role requires a driver’s license, CPR/BLS certification, and experience with geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care, geriatric rehab, or memory care settings preferred.
• Active and valid Driver’s License required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing a diverse activity schedule for residents.
• Lead group activities and support one-on-one engagements with residents.
• Document participation and feedback; communicate with staff and families.
• Transport residents to activities and help with setup and cleanup.
• Attend staff meetings and comply with safety protocols.
