Job summary

Educational Federal Credit Union is seeking a part-time Member Representative in the Miami, FL area to deliver exceptional member service and act as a consultant on deposits and loans. You will resolve issues, identify member needs, and refer customers to suitable CU products and services.

You may serve as a lobby leader, assist with high school branches, and participate in community events while supporting branch operations. Saturdays are required.

Qualifications

• Must provide exceptional member service and resolve issues accurately.
• Ability to discuss basic credit union products and services.
• Must be comfortable working Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Process various member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and checks.
• Prepare paperwork for wire transfers, stop payments, direct deposit forms, cards, and statements.
• Provide access to safe deposit boxes and complete related documentation.
• Discuss features and benefits of credit union products and stay aware of current promotions.
• Maximize member contacts by identifying needs and making referrals.
• Serve as lobby leader and direct members to the right information source to improve efficiency.
• Act as a school branch liaison at high school branches when needed.
• Participate in external events with local schools and community partners.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to branch strategy discussions.
• Travel to various branch locations to provide staffing support when required.
• Work on Saturdays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary:

The Member Representative provides exceptional member service by serving as a consultant to members on a wide variety of deposit and loan transactions/inquiries, resolving member issues accurately and in a timely manner, and effectively identifying members' needs and making appropriate referrals for Credit Union's products and services.

Duties Include

• Processes various types of transactions for members including cash and non-cash deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cash advances, cashier’s checks, savings bonds, IRA deposits, CD withdrawals, etc.
• Services member accounts by preparing the necessary paperwork for wire transfers; processing stop payment requests, direct deposit payroll request forms, new/lost/stolen cards, check orders, and temporary checks; assisting with Online Banking setup; processing address change requests; and printing copies of checks and statements.
• Provides members with access to their safe deposit boxes and completes necessary documentation.
• Has the knowledge and ability to discuss basic features and benefits of all credit unions products and services. Maintains awareness of all current promotions or campaigns.
• Maximizes every member contact as an opportunity to identify what Credit Union products and services would be beneficial to them and makes appropriate referrals.
• Serves as “lobby leader” and is responsible for assessing walk-in member’s needs and directing them to the appropriate information source to ensure maximum lobby efficiency and minimize member waiting time.
• Serves as a school branch liaison at the Credit Union’s high school branches as necessary.
• Periodically participates in volunteer external networking and promotional events with local schools, colleges, and other community business partners.
• Actively participates in team meetings/daily huddles to provide input and ideas regarding branch business strategy.
• Required to have the ability to travel throughout the branch network to provide staffing assistance at all branch locations when necessary.
• Required to work on Saturdays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
