Job summary

American House Senior Living Communities is seeking a part-time Medication Technician to administer medications to residents safely and accurately under the direction of the Executive Director and Wellness Director. The position involves assisting with daily living activities, collaborating with the care team, and maintaining medication security and safety throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a compassion for older adults.
• Must possess valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications according to physician orders on the MAR.
• Documents medications on the MAR and checks before end of shift for accuracy.
• Conducts change-of-shift reports with incoming staff.
• Maintains security of medication cart and narcotic keys; performs narcotic counts.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and transports as needed.
• Provides care and services to residents and collaborates with team members.
• Reports changes in residents’ condition to Wellness Director or charge nurse.
• Participates in resident-centered activities and supports mobility and safety.
