Job summary

Bay Breeze Care in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Medication Technician to assist adults in an ARF setting. The role involves administering medications, documenting in MARs, and coordinating with physicians, while upholding Title 22 CA regulations and ensuring resident comfort and safety.

Flexible Saturday–Monday schedules are available with a 6:30am–3:30pm shift. A DOJ/FBI background check, physical, and TB test clearance are required, as is a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• DOJ FBI background clearance required
• Pre-employment physical and TB test clearance required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred
• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available in various shifts

Responsibilities

• Assist with the basic needs of an ARF (Adult Residential Facility).
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Administer medication to residents in accordance to Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.
• Order and reorder medication for residents, following physician instructions.
• Monitor resident’s medication administration records and report errors to Lead Medication Technician/Administrator.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician/medical professional.
• Schedule resident doctor’s appointments.
• Help reduce residents’ pain and promote engagement and independence.
• Maintain composure during emergencies; ensure a safe work environment.

Bay Breeze Care is an assisted living facility for the adult community (ages 18-59) located in Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Medication Technicianswho have the passion to help the adult and mental health community and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications (non-negotiable)

• Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing
• Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance
• High school diploma or GED required

Job Description
