Job summary

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is seeking a Part-time Medical Technologist for the 2nd shift in our Bethlehem, PA-based Product QC Laboratory. You will perform clinical laboratory testing and assess blood products for acceptability, with an anticipated starting hourly wage of $24.78.

The position supports our mission to save lives and offers comprehensive part-time benefits. Responsibilities include testing, SOP-compliance, equipment operation, and specimen labeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or related science is required.
• Healthcare background with 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
• Must possess basic computer skills, strong attention to detail, and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening) to engage with employees.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Test and assess blood products for acceptability and ensure timely, accurate results.
• Follow SOPs and policies to maintain high-quality laboratory results.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; manage inventory of supplies.
• Prepare specimens for testing and label blood products per SOPs.
