Job summary

TTUHSC seeks a Physician Assistant to support a supervising physician with patient care, planning and treatment. You will perform examinations, order tests, and contribute to diagnosis under physician oversight.

The role requires Texas licensure or transfer, EPIC experience, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach in a fast-paced setting. This is a part-time, on-site opportunity with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Physician Assistant program approved by the ARC-PA and licensure in Texas or ability to transfer.
• Nursing pathway accepted: RN licensure or Nurse Practitioner certification in Texas.
• Experience with adult and acute care patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision and responsibility of a physician.
• Develop plans of care with supervising physician and implement them.
• Order tests and interpret results to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Educate patients and families about plans of care and health issues.
• Practice independently for previously diagnosed and undiagnosed patients.
• Deliver full spectrum health services including prevention and disease management.
• Prescribe medications within scope and monitor patient status over time.
