Capital Health in Pennington, NJ is seeking a Med Lab Technician to perform tests in a busy clinical laboratory using automated equipment and manual methods to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. You will prepare blood and body fluid samples, monitor quality controls, record results, and follow infection control standards.

The role includes mentoring student technicians and providing age-appropriate care during phlebotomy and other direct patient services.

Competenze

• Performs all testing accurately and timely within their assigned section using computer linked automated equipment or manual methodologies.
• Performs routine procedures under supervision.
• Prepares samples of blood and body fluids; ensures sample identity.
• Records results accurately using manual and electronic reporting methods.
• Follows established infection control practices and quality assurance standards.
• Uses quality control knowledge to determine result acceptability.
• Consults with technical supervisors and pathologists regarding atypical results.
• Provides age-appropriate care during phlebotomy and other direct patient services.
• Instructs student technicians and staff as required.
