Job summary

An established physician and provider group serving skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in the Warren, OH area is seeking a part-time Medical Director. You will provide medical oversight for a skilled nursing / long-term care facility while partnering with nurse practitioners, nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care.

This role is ideal for a physician already working in nursing homes who wants to add a medical directorship

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Long-term care experience (skilled nursing/long-term care/post-acute)
• Prior Medical Director experience and CMS long-term care regulations familiarity (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction and oversight for resident care at your assigned skilled nursing / long-term care facility
• See new admissions and complete required regulatory visits and documentation
• Mentor and guide nurse practitioners and participate in regular case reviews
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local long-term care regulations and support surveys and audits
• Participate in QAPI programs and efforts to reduce avoidable hospitalizations
• Serve as clinical liaison among facility administration, nursing staff, providers, residents and families
