Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services seeks a Part-time Medical Director to oversee medical services at Forest Hills Healthcare Center. The role combines bedside care with leadership, aiming to reduce hospital readmissions and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include administrative oversight, coordination with attending physicians, and providing medical services within skilled nursing facilities and clinic settings. Ohio license required; gerontology background preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and Ohio license.
• Gerontology certification preferred.
• ABMS board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Geriatrics or Hospice/Palliative.
• 5+ years of geriatric or long-term care experience.
• Experience educating NPs.

Responsibilities

• Assume administrative authority to implement medical services, policies, and procedures per regulations.
• Coordinate medical care and liaison with attending physicians; monitor quality of care.
• Provide physician services for residents in skilled nursing facilities and clinics.
