Job summary

Cornerstone Clinical Partners in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Medical Director/Attending Physician on a part‑time basis (1 day per week) to oversee comprehensive care for residents in skilled nursing facilities. You will lead clinical staff, ensure high standards, and advance best practices across the team.

The role requires extensive LTC experience and strong leadership, communication, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• CMD certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience in long‑term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in LTC.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day.
• Competitive salary per annum: $50,000 - $60,000.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to medical staff to maintain high standards of care.
• Foster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional development.
• Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staff.
• Chair or co-chair the QAPI Committee on a quarterly basis.
• Assist in DOH survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Lead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives.
• Stay informed of geriatric and LTC advancements to evolve the facility’s clinical offerings.
• Provide direct patient care to residents, ensuring high-quality clinical treatment.
