Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. seeks a Site Medical Director for Central Regional Jail in Sutton, West Virginia. The role supports administrative and clinical leadership, promoting high-quality care and guiding clinical staff including physicians, extenders, and other professionals.

Under supervision, you will help maintain care standards, participate in quality and utilization management, and contribute to policy development while ensuring patient safety within the facility’s medical program.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Medical Degree and licenses as required by law in West Virginia.
• Board certification or eligibility preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in clinical leadership and program development is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Promote and provide high-quality medical care at the site.
• Collaborate with Regional Medical Director, physicians, extenders, dentists, psychiatrists and other staff.
• Manage clinical protocols, utilization management, and patient safety initiatives.
• Lead peer reviews, case discussions, and ongoing professional development.
• Coordinate with site manager and regional leadership to ensure efficient patient care.
