Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. seeks a part-time Site Medical Director to oversee medical care at Central Regional Jail in Sutton, West Virginia.

Under administrative and clinical supervision, you will promote high-quality care and lead a team of physicians and mid-level providers. You will work with the Regional Medical Director and site management to maintain clinical standards, participate in policy development, and review care plans, labs, and patient safety issues.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current West Virginia medical license.
• Must hold West Virginia Controlled Substance license and DEA registration.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Medical degree required; board certification preferred or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Promote and provide high-quality medical care at the site.
• Provide clinical supervision to staff physicians and mid-level providers.
• Collaborate with site manager and Regional Medical Director to ensure efficient patient care.
• Maintain utilization management and clinical practice standards.
• Participate in reviews of off-site care, labs, and patient safety issues.
• Communicate clinical and administrative issues to Site Manager and Regional Directors.
