Job summary

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. seeks a Part Time Physician / Medical Director to provide on-site medical services at Cecil County Detention Center (Elkton, MD) and Kent County Detention Center (Chestertown, MD).

The role features an 8–12 hour weekly schedule across two facilities, with a shift differential and an hourly rate of $150–$170. You will lead clinical management in line with NCCHC/ACA standards, supervise staff, coordinate with pharmacy, ensure accurate charting, and be available for

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
• Licensed to practice Medicine in Maryland.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Maintain current DEA
• Maintain active BLS (CPR) certification.
• Maintain current Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to inmate/patient population per accepted medical standards.
• Assume clinical management of the medical health program per NCCHC/ACA standards.
• Deliver medical treatment on scheduled workdays with facility administration.
• Provide medical consultation to physicians, mid-level providers, and nursing.
• Oversee and supervise medical clinical services on duty.
• Ensure complete, accurate and timely medical entries for each inmate/patient contact.
• Be available for consultation and/or emergency medical coverage via phone.
• Collaborate with pharmacy to evaluate and approve medications in the formulary.
• Establish and monitor standards of care provided by physicians, psychologists and nurses.
